In 2009, we spent most of the summer break with family in California. This picture is from Venice Beach. We also traveled to Baja, Oregon, and British Columbia. It was a very relaxing time, and a blessing to be with family.
In 2008, for example, I went with my brother and father to Africa, as part of a philanthropic foundation to help impoverished children/adults and AIDS victims.
In 2007, my wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by heading to Italy. Neither of us had been before, and the entire trip was remarkable. We started off with some time in Rome, then took a cruise through Naples, Split (Croatia), Venice, Dubrovnik (Croatia), Messina (Sicily), Taormina, Florence, Pisa, Portofino, and back to Rome. We even got a night in London on the way out. It was a busy trip, but incredibly rewarding.
In 2006, we took our last spring break trip to Colorado Springs. It had become a nice tradition, but it's just too far to go from Washington. We always took advantage of the spring break rates at the Broadmoor Hotel. In 2006, we spent a few days just at the hotel and the surrounding area.

Kirstyn and Rob
Kirstyn and I were the only ones willing to stay up late and head to the live entertainment.  It was very enjoyable, as was the food.
The girl's definition of fun was sitting in bed and watching TV.
