May 9-10, 2002 Special/Regular Meeting

  • 02-21: The Board approved their minutes from the 03/13-14/2002 and 04/09/2002 meetings.
  • 02-22: The Board repealed Resolution 94-3 and with Resolution 02-03 authorized special fund revenue bonds for the housing system to be issued in series to finance and refinance facilities for the system; create and establish a lien upon net revenues of the housing system for the payment of such bonds; establish a system of registration of bonds and obligations of the university; establish a bond redemption fund; and make covenants and agreements in connection with the foregoing.
  • 02-23: The Board moved that Resolution 02-04 of the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University authorize the issuance and sale of the university's Housing System Revenue Bonds, Series 2002, in the principle amount of $9,000,000 for the purpose of providing funds to renovate and remodel Kamola Hall and pay the costs of issuance and sale of the bonds; fix the date, form, terms and maturities for such series; establish a construction fund; and approve the sale and provide for the delivery of the bonds to Lehman Brothers Inc, of Seattle, Washington.
  • 02-24: The Board accepted the State Auditor's report of Central Washington University Housing and Food Services Funds for the period for July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001.
  • 02-25: The Board approved the increase in Dean's Distinctions and Trustees' Distinction Waiver to $600,000 for 2003 and the Western Undergraduate Exchange Waiver to $650,000 for 2003.
  • 02-26: The Board increased the mandatory Student Health and Counseling Feel by $15.00 per academic quarter, effective Fall 2002 and $10.00 per summer quarter, effective Summer 2003.
  • 02-27: The Board approved the following S&A Committee proposed supplemental allocations: Campus Life Programs and Services in the amount of $8569.84 for cash-out of vacation/sick leave/comp time for retiring classified employee; Early Childhood Learning Center in the amount of $17,153.96 for the recapture of old debt and student employee costs for spring quarter 2002; the Outdoor Adventure Club in the amount of $3,000.00 for club member to attend outdoor training school pending the signing of a contract and Club Senate Travel Fund in the amount of $6,655.00 for club travel through the end of this fiscal year.
  • 02-28: The Board received report items 28-31 collectively, and approved action items 32-45 collectively.
  • 02-29: The Board approved the Finding of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Recommended Decision of the hearing officer in the Donahue II Department Chair - Attorneys Fees Appeal.
