Special/Regular Meeting
- 05-05:Motion Carried for the Board of Trustees to approve the minutes of the regular and special meetings February 3-4, 2005.
- 05-06: Motion for the Board of Trustees to approve the summer session 2005 budget as follows:
- undergraduate tuition - $120 per student credit hour (SCH) [7.14%]
- post baccalaureate tuition - $149 per SCH [7.19%]
- graduate tuition - $175 per SCH [6.71%]
- and registration fee - $40 per student with no increase this year.
- 05-07: Ms. Manring moved that the tuition increase reflect a 3% fee increase instead of 7% as proposed. Motion 05-07 withdrawn and motion 05-06 carried.
- 05-08: Motion carried by the Board of Trustees to approve proposed new and increased university fees as presented, effective Fall 2005.
- 05-09: The Board of Trustees recognized the importance of AACSB accreditation to CWU and the College of Business. They affirmed the institutional commitment to accreditation and the emphasis for achieving continuous improvement and quality management. We support the set of benefits derived from the process and accruing to our students and faculty: appropriate mission, relevant curriculum, qualified faculty, and effective policies and practices. The peer review process provides and external confirmation of program quality in the College of Business. Motion carried.
- 05-10: Motion carried for the Board of Trustees to delegate authority to the V.P. for Business and Financial Affairs or designee to select and contract with a consultant to bid, award, and execute a construction contract for the new CWU/Wenatchee Valley College Higher Education Center in the Wenatchee Valley College campus in Wenatchee.
- 05-11: Motion carried by the Board of Trustees to approve the Services and activities Fees Committee supplemental allocation as was submitted.
- 05-12: The Board of Trustees carried the motion to approve the Services and Activities Fees Committee transfer of funds as submitted.
- 05-13: Motion carried by the Board of Trustees to approve changes to the CWU nondiscrimination policy previously approved by the Presidents Advisory Council on July 21, 2004.
- 05-14: Motion for the Board of Trustees to approve the award of honorary Master of Humane Letters Degrees to Gretta Merwin in recognition of her exceptional contributions to CWU and the greater Ellensburg community, and based on her availability to Jennifer Dunn for her contributions to CEW as a state legislator and member of the U.S. Congress.
- 05-15: Motion carried to change the date of the annual retreat from August 4-5, 2005 to July 25-26, 2005.
- 05-16: Motion for the Board of Trustees to receive report items 21-23 collectively and approve action items 24-25 collectively. Motion carried.
