I
am in my third year at Central Washington University, and I am an
Elementary Education and Special Education double major. I begin
my Special Education practicum in Winter 2010, and then will student
teach in the Spring of that same year. My professional goal is to
be a self-contained classroom teacher in an
elementary school. I am particularly interested in working with
students with autism, however I would love to have the opportunity to
work with a range of disabilities.
I am originally from Tacoma, Washington
and I hope to go back to Tacoma after I graduate. I graduated
from Stadium High School in the Tacoma Public School District. It is a
beautiful building with a lot of history behind it.
In
my free time I really enjoy cooking. I like to experiment with
making my own recipes to share with my friends and family. I have
a love for music of (almost) all kinds, and I have played the violin
since the 5th grade! My
all time favorite musician is John Mayer, but I also love Justin
Timberlake, Vicci Martinez (a Tacoma local!), and The Presidents of the
United States of America... just to name a few!
I
love to spend time with my family, and I am the oldest of 4 kids.
My siblings are Alyssa (18), Kelcey (15), and Garrett (12). We
are a very close family, and we love to get together and play games
(our favorites are Dutch Blitz and Cranium!)
