Academics: International Communication |
International CommunicationThis course helps students to recognize the diversity within our global environment and helps them to develop the skills and awareness needed to understand and interact successfully within that environment. Students learn terms and concepts needed for communicating effectively about cultural values and the demographics of diverse nations. Students also develop an understanding of how nations relate to one another, including their cooperation, competition and conflict. Students learn about national interest and foreign policy and how these are often shaped by a nation's culture and values. Students also participate in research projects and presentations on current topics of interest that help them understand how the course information applies to the world around them. |
