At our meetings we talk about upcoming events and new ideas about what to do next week.

Weather permitting, we go up to the observatory on the roof of Lind Hall and do some observing and research.

The school owns a 12-inch Cassegrain reflecting telescope on a motorized equatorial mount in an observatory that we use to do our observing.  We also own an 8-inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain, an 8-inch Newtonian reflecting telescope on a Dobsonian mount, a 5-inch Celestron Nexstar telescope, and a 4-inch Astroscan that we can take to star parties and dark sky sites.  We have a CCD camera that can be used with the telescopes for astrophotography. We also have a solar filter for the 8- inch Celestron for viewing the sun. For all of the telescopes, we have a double polarized moon filter for easier viewing of the moon, four planetary filters, a light pollution filter, and a nebula filter.
