Hello all! I am Renae Arndt, a CWU senior studying English Education and Psychology. If all goes as planned, I will be student teaching at the beginning of the new year and be teaching on my own within the following two years. I hail from Auburn, Washington where I have lived my entire life with the exception of five months in Colorado Springs, Co and two years in the lovely college town of Ellensburg, Wa.  I am Northwest through and through, loving all which that entails.

About me: Let's see... I am interested in  people and places. If I could go anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, I would hop on a plane to Israel or book a backpaking trip through Central and South America. I love basketball and volleyball.  Love hiking, reading, singing (when alone), and practicing the guitar (also when alone). Hmm...what else? I love meeting people entirely unlike myself and discovering our commonalities; love Sunday afternoons, rain, venturing on a complicated thought process only to find that the truth is quite simple, and the mosaic of greens resulting from sun beams as they play on new spring leaves.

Literature  adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates  the deserts that our lives have already become.
