Currently there are five guides which describe the records in the Central Regional Branch: a complete Guide to Holdings and separate guides to County and Municipal government records, School District records, Central Washington University records, and Genealogical source records. There is also a page which lists new accessions, including records which may not yet be included in the existing guides listed here.

The Guide to Holdings includes descriptive entries for every record series held at the Central Regional Branch. Guides specific to counties and municipalities, schools, Central Washington University, and genealogy contain descriptive entries culled from the larger Guide in order to facilitate more direct access.
