| The Place: The Saddle Mountains are a rugged sagebrush grassland area in east/central Washington, where the hills and mountains rise about 2200 feet above the Columbia and Yakima Rivers. The Lower Wenas Creek is in the lowlands of Central Washington and characterized by gentle upland bluffs situated above a permanent riparian floodplain. |
| The School:will focus on archaeological fieldwork and cultural resource management (CRM), including intensive training in survey (cultural resource inventory) and limited excavation for identifying and mapping archaeological sites. These are the most common tasks for archaeology jobs. The project is co-sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation. |

(12 credits, quarter system)
Transportation is provided to and from campus or field camp daily.
