Our chapter currently has seven officer positions that you can apply for in the spring. By obtaining one of these positions you will be an official leader for the 2007-2008 academic year. The responsibilities of these positions are as follows:
The President is the presiding officer that helps to create an interest in ALD among members and prospective members by maintain good communication between officers, advisors and members. They should be aware of all facets of ALD.
The Vice President works closely with the president in planning and executing all chapter business. They should be knowledgeable in how the organization operates and should be able to take over the president's responsibilities should the president be unable.
The Senator represents our ALD chapter in the Club Senate here at CWU. They make sure that the club is officially recognized and help get funding.
The Treasurer handles all the financial affairs of the chapter, keeps accurate records, pays bills on time, and works with the president to prepare the annual financial report.
The Secretary keeps clear, accurate reports and handles all correspondence and records. They usually are very organized.
The Webmaster maintains the chapter website and assists in other areas as needed. They must maintain good communication with all other members.
The Historian keeps records of activities by taking pictures and they should be artistic so that they can create a scrapbook of the whole year.
