During the fall of every academic year, the CWU General Scholarship Application is available online at www.cwu.edu/~scholar. This application allows all interested students, entering freshmen and transfers as well as continuing students, to be considered for academic and/or need-based CWU Foundation scholarships. The deadline to apply for these scholarships is February 1 of each year.
The CWU Foundation independently awards schoalrships by various academic departments (i.e., athletics, music, theatre, arts) for which the above application does not apply. Those opportunities are found on the CWU scholarships Web page at www.cwu.edu/~scholar.
National, state, and community resources (including charitable and professional organizations, local businesses, unions, clubs, alumni organizations, and churches) offer scholarships. Many of these resources can be found on the Upcoming Deadlines Web page at www.cwu.edu/~scholar/deadlines.html.
Other specific resources for students from migrant and seasonal farm working backgrounds, disabled, graduate, minorities, non-traditional, and other groups are also available on the scholarship Web site.
Athletic Scholarships
The Athletic Department offers aid based on athletic ability to academically qualified students. Individual coaches identify recipients through their recruiting process. For contact information, visit www.wildcatsports.com.
Military Scholarships
