Admission to any theatre BFA program is by audition/interview only. Auditions/interviews begin with an online prescreening process. Begin the process.
We have found students are most successful in completing a BFA degree within four years when they enter our program as a freshman or sophomore. Ask about our 1+3 option!
Scholarship audition requirements are the same requirements for students seeking admission into the BFA programs . Bachelor of Arts students should choose an area of concentration in which to apply for scholarship opportunities.
Airport Shuttle Info - for students arriving from out-of-state to visit or attend their first quarter at CWU.
Please consult the Department Chair for various methods of making the most efficient transfer to CWU on the 1+3 model.
The purpose of the Dual Admission program is to provide a smooth and successful transition for the student from a participating community or technical college to Central Washington University (CWU). Students who participate in the program are considered fully admitted to the community or technical college and conditionally admitted to CWU. They will benefit from access to resources at both institutions during their academic career and be better prepared to transition into their baccalaureate program. The CWU $50 admission application fee and the $100 confirmation deposit will be waived.
Transfer Academic Program Plans (TAPP)
If you school is not listed, please feel free to contact the department chair. We continue to work on expanding our TAPP partnerships.
The William O. Douglas Honors College (DHC) is Central's interdisciplinary program for academically talented students.
Incoming transfer students interested in the Upper-Division Scholarship Experience may also apply to the William O. Douglas Honors College. Admission is granted to transfer students who demonstrate excellence in academic achievement in post-secondary coursework.
