The Department of Theatre Arts offers you a variety of degrees and emphasis areas to ensure that you receive specialized attention in the areas you desire. You will build skills-based resumes and portfolios that will propel you into professional jobs or advanced degrees.
The department produces several shows each season, both on the main stage and in studio (workshop) settings. The opportunities allow students to put classroom theory into practice as part of the regular season of Central Theatre Ensemble, the production wing of the department. To further prepare for future employment or graduate school, all students are strongly encouraged to pursue off-campus practical experience through TH 490: Cooperative Education (Internship).
