Milo Smith Tower Theatre Rental - Equipment and Fees

Book space directly through CWU Scheduling Center at (509) 963-1321, they will coordinate booking the space and relaying equipment needs for you.

Minimum Space Rental - $550.00*
3 hours of Presentation/Speaker Lighting, House Audio System, House Manager.
(Use for more than 3 hours and required technicians/additional equipment charges will be calculated at rates listed below.)

Due to the flexible seating capabilities of this space, we can not guarantee what configuration the space will be at any specific time.  If the configuration of the seating will need to be changed to accommodate your needs, there will be a reset charge based on the time it takes to set and reset the seating units.  The charge is $15 per man hour.  A complete one-time change over may range up to  $1000, and requires 72 hours to make the change.

* Room rental rates may vary for on-campus clubs and organizations. All equipment fees pertain as follows:


Audio/Video Equipment  

  •     In House Audio Systems - included in base rental
  •     Additional Mackie Powered Speakers: $40 each/day
  •     Microphones: $10 each/day
  •     Video Projector: $60/day
  •     Rear Projection Screen (12' x 14'): $30/day

Instruments

  •     Upright Piano: $50/event
  •     Piano Tuning (as special request): $100 per each/request

Lighting

  •     Lighting Console - included in base rental
  •     Presentation/Speaker Lighting (per hour over base three-hour rental): $30/hour
  •     Custom Lighting Gels - Call for quote


Additional Stage Lighting Packages:

  •     General Classroom/Film Presentation: $90 per day or $200 per week (Monday-Sunday)

    Includes: Projection Screen, Projector, and House Lights

  •     Show-General Illumination:  $235 per day or $575 per week (Monday-Sunday)

       Includes: Projection Screen, Lighting Console, Half-Stage Lighting Plot (approximately 40 lighting instruments),  and House Lights
(Specialty design plot an additional $100/hr. Please seek a quote prior to requesting this design service.)

  •     Production-Theatrical Illumination:  $675 per day or $1,675 per week (Monday-Sunday)

        Includes: Projection Screen, Lighting Console, Half-Stage Lighting Plot (approximately 80 lighting instruments), and House Lights.
(Specialty design plot an additional $100/hr. Please seek a quote prior to requesting this design service.)

  •         Conductors Podium and Music Stand: $15
  •         Music Stand Lights (each/as available): $3
  •         Music Stands (as available): N/C
  •         Microphone Stands: N/C
  •         Tables (as available): N/C
  •         Chairs (as available): N/C
  •         White Board (pens not included): N/C
  •         Lectern (no University Seal):N/C

Personnel Hourly Rates

  •         Student Sound Technician: $15
  •         Student Media Technician: $15
  •         Student Lighting Technician: $15
  •         Student Stagehand: $15
  •         House Manager (required  for all events): $15
  •         Student Light Designer - Call for quote
  •         Ushers: $15

  •         All equipment requires trained, regular Theatre Arts staff and is not available for use outside the facility.
  •         Personnel fees will be billed for all time necessary in preparation/set-up and break-down for events, including, but not limited to meetings, e-mail, planning, setup, etc.
  •         All items are on an “as available” basis. Priority is given to academic use. Please confirm availability in advance.
  • FMD Housekeeping fees that apply to the rental will be included on the final billing.
