McConnell Auditorium Rental - Equipment and Fees

Book space directly through CWU Scheduling Center at (509) 963-1321,  they will coordinate booking the space and relaying equipment needs for you.

Minimum Space Rental - $770.00*
3 hours of Presentation/Speaker Lighting, House A/V System, House Manager.

(Use for more than 3 hours and required technicians and additional equipment charges will be calculated at rates listed below.)

* Room rental rates may vary for on-campus clubs and organizations. All equipment fees pertain as follows:


Audio/Video Equipment   

  • In House Audio/Video Systems - included in base rental
  • Additional Mackie Powered Speakers: $40 each/day
  • Microphones: $10 each/day
  • Video Projector: $60/day
  • Rear Projection Screen (12' x 14'): $30/day

Instruments

  • Grand Piano: $100/event
  • Upright Piano: $50/Event
  • Piano Tuning (as special request): $100/each request

Lighting

  • Lighting Console - included in base rental
  • Presentation/Speaker Lighting (per hour over base two hour rental): $30
  • Follow Spot (2 available) (Theatre Arts department operator is required): $40 each/day
  • Lighting Gels: Call for quote
     

Additional Stage Lighting Packages:

  • General Classroom/Film Presentation: $60 per day or $150 per week (Monday-Sunday)
    Includes: House Projection Screen, Projector and House Lights
     
  • Lecture:  Apron Lighting to Grand Drape: $100 per day or $250 per week (Monday-Sunday)
    Includes: House Projection Screen,  Projector and House Lights, Lighting Console, Apron Light Plot (approximately 10 lighting instruments)
     
  • Pageant - Half Stage (to line set  8): $135 per day or $350 per week (Monday-Sunday)
    Includes: Projection Screen, Lighting Console, Half-Stage Lighting Rep Plot (approximately 25 lighting instruments),  University Seal/Medallion, and House Lights
    (Specialty design plot is an additional $100/hr. Please seek a quote prior to requesting this design service. Specialty hanging services @ $15 per man hour.)
     
  • Concert - Full Stage ( to line set 31): $375 per day or $950 per week (Monday-Sunday)
    Includes: Projection Screen, Lighting Console, Stage Lighting Rep Plot (approximately 40 lighting instruments), University Seal/Medallion, and House Lights     

    (Specialty design plot an additional $100/hr. Please seek a quote prior to requesting this design service. Specialty hanging services @ $15.00 per man hour. Specialty hanging services @ $15 per man hour.)
     
  • Production - Full Stage (to line set 31): $975 per day or $2,450 per week (Monday-Sunday)
    Includes: Projection Screen, Lighting Console, Stage Lighting Rep Plot (approximately 80 lighting instruments),  University Seal/Medallion, and House Lights

    (Specialty design plot an additional $100/hr. Please seek a quote prior to requesting this design service. Specialty hanging services @ $15 per man hour.)

  •     Music Stand Lights (each/as available): $3

  •     Lectern (no University Seal): N/C
  •     Pit Cover Removal/Replacement: $600
     

Personnel  Hourly Rates

  •     Student Sound Technician: $15
  •     Student Media Technician: $15
  •     Student Lighting Technician: $15
  •     Student Stagehand: $15
  •     House Manager (required  for all events): $15
  •     Student Light Designer -  Call for quote
  •     Ushers: $15

  • All equipment requires trained, regular Theatre Arts staff and is not available for use outside the facility.
  • Personnel fees will be billed for all time necessary in preparation/set-up and break-down for events, including, but not limited to meetings, e-mail, planning, setup, etc.
  • All items are on an “as available” basis. Priority is given to academic use. Please confirm availability in advance.
  • FMD Housekeeping fees that apply to the rental will be included on final billing.
