Hertz Auditorium Rental - Equipment and Fees

Book space directly through CWU Scheduling Center at (509) 963-1321, who will coordinate equipment needs for you.

Minimum Fee Package $300.00
3 hours of; Stage Lighting, House A/V System, House Manager.
(Use for more than 3 hours the required technicians will be calculated at rates listed below.)

Audio/Video Equipment    

  • In-House Audio/Video Systems - included in base rental
  • Mackie Powered Speakers: $40 each/day
  • Microphones: $10 each/day
  • Additional Video Projector: $60/day


  • Baby Grand Piano: $100/event
  • Piano Tuning (as special request): $100 per each request


  • Lighting Console - included in base rental
  • Stage Lighting (per hour over the  three-hour base rental): $30
  • Custom Lighting Gels - Call for quote


  • Conductors Podium and Music Stand: $15
  • Music Stand Lights (each): $3
  • Music Stands: N/C
  • Microphone Stands: N/C
  • Tables (as available): N/C
  • Chairs (as available): N/C
  • White Board (pens not included): N/C
  • Lectern (no University Seal): N/C

Personnel Hourly Rates

  • Student Sound Technician: $15
  • Student Media Technician:  $15
  • Student Lighting Technician: $15
  • Student Stagehand: $15
  • House Manager (required. for all events): $15
  • Student Light Designer - Call for quote
  • Ushers: $15


  • All equipment requires proper training or previous experience and is not available for use outside the facility.
  • Personnel fees will be billed for all time necessary in preparation for events, including, but not limited to meetings, e-mail, planning, setup, etc.
  • All items are on an “as available” basis. Priority is given to academic use. Please confirm availability in advance.
  • FMD Housekeeping fees that apply to the rental will be included on final billing.
