MA Theatre Studies students Chelsea Roberts, Cassandra White, and Justin Almquist will be presenting papers at the national Comparative Drama Conference in Baltimore, Maryland (April 3-5th). Chelsea will be giving a paper on “Re-Historicizing the Rhetoric of Avant-Garde Failure: Six Public Acts and Their Outcome(s).” Cassandra will be delivering a paper entitled "Walls of Books: Heretical Education in Brian Friel's Molly Sweeney." And Justin will be offering "Neo (Liberal) Classicism in Sarah Kane’s Phaedra’s Love.”
The MA-Theatre Studies program is designed to build the research and analytical skills students will need for an academic career in theatre. It is the only program of its kind Washington State.
