The Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®) is a standardized, multiple-choice examination designed to assess the examinee's problem solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of science concepts and principles prerequisite to the study of medicine. Scores are reported in Physical Sciences, Verbal Reasoning, and Biological Sciences.

Central Washington University Testing Center (Room 125 Bouillon) administers the MCAT periodically to candidates from all over the Northwest. Registration is online through the official web site MCAT/AAMC.

The TOEIC Listening and Reading Test

With more than 6 million of test takers each year, the TOEIC® Listening and Reading test has become a standard for assessing English-language listening and reading skills needed in the workplace The TOEIC Tests are correlated to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
•Listening skills are important for face-to-face communication, meetings, videoconferencing, podcasts and telephone conversations between colleagues and with customers.
•Reading skills are necessary for email, reports, newsletters and other forms of everyday workplace correspondences.

The TOEIC Listening and Reading certification offers a common standard for measuring and comparing language skills of non-native speakers in the workplace. The test content reflects real-world tasks and provides information that enables:
•Corporations to recruit, train and promote candidates and employees with the most appropriate skills
•Academic institutions to help their students enter the job market
•Language schools to give added value to their training program
•Individuals to highlight their English skills on their resumé

The TOEIC Listening and Reading test is a paper-and-pencil, multiple-choice assessment.

There are two timed sections of 100 questions each.

CWU Testing Center schedules this test every month on a Saturday. The test date is canceled by ETS if a minimum of 5 candidates have not registered for the test. Walk in candidates are allowed for this exam if they follow all the requirements for payment and IDs as they are outlined at ets.org/TOEIC
