A community briefing on Kittitas County’s Taylor Bridge wildfire has been scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 15, at 7 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation Center Ballroom at Central Washington University.
The briefing will include updates from Kittitas County Emergency Management and other officials. Free parking will be made available in university lots for those attending the meeting.
CWU has also set up a community information page at www.cwu.edu/taylorbridgefire, to share information about providing support for those affected by the fire. A live video stream of the community briefing will also be available at that site. In addition, Ellensburg Community Television, Channel 2 on Charter cable, will rebroadcast the briefing at noon, 3 p.m., and 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 16.
In addition, the CWU Foundation has established an online fund to generate support for fire victims. Proceeds of the Taylor Bridge Fire Relief Fund will go to the American Red Cross. To donate, please go here.
