Student Union and Recreation Center

Student Appreciation Day

Campus Activities has joined forces with several departments from across campus to show Central students some love at Student Appreciation Day on Thursday, May 23.

The day’s events will begin with a free concert from Miami-based hip hop artist J. Toven at 3:30 p.m. outside of Wellington’s Event Center (Barto).

After watching the show, students can make their way over to the OPR patio where CWU Dining Services will be set up with a free Hawaiian-style BBQ from 4 to 6 p.m.

University Recreation will also host an assortment of lawn games throughout the afternoon on the Barto Lawn, where students will have their choice between playing volleyball, bocce ball and croquet.

The grand finale is the 7th annual Luau, hosted by the Center for Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ), featuring an authentic hula dance performance from Sunshine from Polynesia at 7 p.m. in the SURC Ballroom.
