He began performing by playing cello in elementary and high school and went on to play bass for several rock bands during and after his college years at the University of Southern California. It was at USC that Paravonian first realized his comedic talent.

Since beginning his comedy career at a student talent competition at USC, Paravonian has toured numerous college campuses, comedy clubs and festivals, has been featured on Comedy Central and VH1 and even opened for comedy legends George Carlin and Lily Tomlin. Paravonian is known for incorporating his musical talent in his comedic routines, most famously in Pachelbel Rant, a YouTube sensation.
