Greenhouse Exploration

1-5 p.m. • CWU Greenhouse

The greenhouse is located off of D Street north of the Science building. Meet Snorkel the tortoise and take a photo!

Barrio Fiesta!
4-6 p.m. • Barto Lawn
Traditional Filipino arts & crafts festival with cultural performances, music and authentic food from Lutong Pinoy.

 

Central Theatre Ensemble presents “Into the Woods”
7:30 p.m. • McConnell Auditorium

Everyone's favorite storybook characters brought together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

 

Ivan Pecel: Making Juggling Tolerable
7:30 p.m. • SURC Theatre

Ivan’s show is guaranteed to change your mind about juggling. His comedy will have you rolling, and his skills will have you amazed. If you didn’t love this art form before his show, you will after… or at least tolerate it.

 

Late Night Star Gazing *Weather permitting*

10:30 p.m. • Discovery Hall (first floor elevators)

Join the CWU Astronomy Club for star gazing from the rooftop of Discovery Hall. *Closed toed shoes are required to participate. Dress warm as it can get chilly!

Yakima River Float
9:45 a.m. check in, departs Outdoor Pursuits & Rentals (OPR) at 10 a.m., returns at 2 p.m.
Enjoy the beauty of the Yakima River Canyon, one of the most scenic areas in the state. We'll provide guides, transportation, gear and lunch! *Must be 12 years of age to participate.

 

Wild Horse Wind Farm Tour
10 a.m. check in, departs SURC East Patio at 10:15 a.m., returns by 12:15 p.m.

12:45 p.m. check-in, departs SURC East Patio at 1 p.m., returns by 3 p.m.
Check out those wind turbines up close, see an impressive solar array and examine the fascinating exhibit at the visitor center. Transportation NOT Provided. A lead car will guide everyone to the Wind Farm.

 

CWU PUSH 5k for Hunger
9:30 a.m. check in, race begins at 10:30 a.m. • Barto Lawn (Chestnut Mall)

Join the CWU PUSH club in a 5k run/walk around campus! Enjoy free snacks, giveaways, music, and register before April 27th to guarantee a t-shirt!

 
Historic Downtown Ellensburg Tour
11 a.m. & 1 p.m. • Departs from Kittitas County Historical Museum, 3rd Avenue near Pine Street
Discover architecture, hidden gems, learn about the great Ellensburg fire, and discover many other interesting facts.

 

2019 Juried Undergraduate Student Art Exhibit

An annual exhibition showcasing outstanding undergraduate student artwork created during the past academic year.

Planetarium Show
1 p.m. & 2 p.m. • Science Building II (Room 106)

The Lydig Planetarium is a fully digital planetarium using six projectors and running a Worldwide Telescope. Special showings just for Family Weekend attendees!

 

Afternoon Escape!

1 p.m. - 5.p.m. • SURC 201 & 202

Families can sign up to participate in a wildly fun and ultimate family-building activity. Can you save the world or test your aptitude for magical charms, join CA staff for this mysterious adventure! Escape room kickoff every 30 minutes. Sign Up early!

 

Hot New Jam Improv

2 p.m. • SURC Theatre

Come check out the newest troupe taking CWU by storm, our very talented and all student club the Hot New Jam!

 

Nap Busters

2 p.m.- 4 p.m. • SURC Patio

Forget the nap, come play games, eat ice cream and enjoy the afternoon with the Hype Street Team. Activities include

Ice cream tasting provided by Winegars, life size games, a ducky derby and a string art workshop.

 

Behind the Scenes Tour

2 p.m., 3.p.m. & 4 p.m. • McConnell Auditorium • Meet on the steps (South side facing University Way) 5 minutes before the tour.

Join CWU Theatre Arts for a tour of our facilities. Our 2 main stage theatres, shops and studios. Learn about the process of making theatre and what makes our spaces special. Tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and can accommodate up to 30 people.
 

Spring into the Farm

2-4 p.m. Wildcat Neighborhood Farm, 14th and Alder St.

Join the Wildcat Neighborhood Farm for a tour and a planting activity. All are welcome!

Browse & Brews

5:30 – 7:30 p.m. • Brooks Library Student Commons (2nd Floor)

Drop by the James E. Brooks Library on the north end of campus for our springtime community event. We’ll have games and activities paired with a variety of beers provided by Ellensburg’s award-winning Iron Horse Brewery. Proceeds benefit the re-do of our Music Library. More details to come! This is 21+ event.

Sibs Night

Join CA programmers for pizza, games and a movie! Parents take the night off or join for an evening filled with food, fun and a movie. Pizza & Games 5:30-7:00 p.m. Movie (Sonic the Hedgehog): 7-9 p.m.
