Student Responsibilities | University Policies

As a student at Central Washington University, you have the responsibility to be familiar and comply with all university policies and procedures, specifically those governing student behaviors. Failure to comply with these expectations may result in university contact and action to address the behavior which could include removal from the institution.

Student Conduct Code

Policies and expectations governing behavior for all registered CWU students both on and off campus.  The Student Conduct Code is a part of the Washingtion Administrative Code (WAC). 

Supplemental Title IX Student Conduct Procedures

Supplemental procedures that apply to allegations of sexual harassment under Title IX.  This supplemental code is part of the Student Conduct Code. 

Title IX Student Grievance Procedures

Supplemental Title IX Grievance Procedure applies only to allegations of sexual harassment as that term is defined by the U.S. Department of Education.

Discrimination Grievance Procedures

Procedures for incidents that may include discrimination on the basis of gender (including sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking, and dating or domestic violence), disability, race (including racial harassment), color, creed, religion, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation, gender identification, pregnancy, marital status, veteran’s status, or age.

Sexual Assault Response Policy

CWU is committed to preventing all forms of sexual assault, sexual violence, or sexual misconduct and to providing accessible, responsive services for dealing with such offenses.

Sexual Harassment Policy

All members of the university community are encouraged to work toward maintaining an educational and work environment free from sexual harassment.

This University seeks to create a campus environment that promotes healthy and safe living that is conducive to the intellectual and personal development of students.
