Fall 2014 Events

Spirit Week
10/13/2014-10/17/2014.
Hello CWU-Pierce Wildcats!

Did you know that CWU Homecoming is October 13-18? Just because we are not in Ellensburg, doesn't mean that we can't celebrate!

How it works:

  1. To participate, just take a ‘selfie’ in front of the “Selfie Bulletin Board” on campus (anywhere else works too) dressed in the appropriate attire for that day!
  2. Make sure to # (hashtag) your photo when you post it to your social media using both #wildcatphotoproject AND #cwupiercecounty.
  3. Every time you upload your ‘selfie’ and use the appropriate hashtags, you will be entered into a raffle to win a CWU Swag Bag!
  4. The following week, your ‘selfies’ will be posted on campus on the CWU-Pierce bulletin board and the Just Be Your Selfie Spirit Week winner will be announced.

Days to remember:

  • Monday, October 13: Mustache Monday!
  • (We will be providing mustaches on campus for students to pose with in front of the “Selfie Bulletin Board”)
  • Tuesday, October 14: Throw Back to your favorite decade!
  • Wednesday, October 15: Favorite Sports Team!
  • Thursday, October 16: CWU-Spirit Day!
  • Friday, October 17: Funky Hat Day!
  • Saturday, October 18: Pajama Day!

Let’s have some fun and show our CWU pride!

*Participation is highly recommended :)

Safe Space Training
10/13/2014 and 10/14/2014

This program aims to create a visible network of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI) individuals and their allies by providing an avenue through which any member of the CWU Community can show their support.  This program also creates an educational experience through the Safe Space Training. It encourages participants to explore their personal identities, cultural identities, privilege, and what it means to be an Ally.  Sign up for the training at our Welcome Back Day on 9/24/2014.
