Need 5-10 students to work 12-19 hours per week
Duties & Responsibilities: 
Case aides will provide support to DSHS social work staff by transporting clients, supervising parent-child visits, record keeping and record documentation, arranging services for clients and providing emotional support to children and families.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills Needed: 
Course work and/or knowledge of human services and child development. Ability to work with people in a variety of life situations, including involuntary clients. At least 18 years of age with a valid drivers license and auto insurance. Good oral and written communication skills.

To assist social work staff with routine tasks, such as transporting, supervising visits, and record keeping to allow social works to complete skilled, professional job functions.
What educational benefits will the student gain from this position?: 
Case aides will learn the purpose and tasks of a pubic child welfare agency. They will learn about child abuse and neglect and the investigation of child abuse. They will learn about the foster care system, juvenile court, substance abuse and community services.
