Job Description: 
Work with kids at a beautiful ocean front camp on Samish Island in Bow, WA. Various positions at Camp Kirby are available. Counselors work with six to eight campers each week in all phases of the camp program. Daily activities include swimming, arts and crafts, climbing wall, and archery. Pay Rate: $1100 - $2100 plus room and board Camp Kirby has a small, family-like camping environment that provides campers with individual attention and the opportunity for interaction between the cabin units of 6 – 10 campers. Safety, respect and fun are Camp Kirby's foundation. Camp Kirby's camper-centered philosophy lets each camper participate in planning their own program at their developmental level. Campers learn to work as a group to make decisions. We teach children how to interact and become part of a community. The challenge course, archery range, climbing wall, canoes, and outdoor living skills learned through camp-outs and cookouts help campers build self-esteem and confidence while having the time of their lives! Job Requirements: Current 1st Aid/CPR certification is required as is a willingness to uphold Camp Kirby's policies and standards. 1st Aid/CPR training will NOT be provided. Employment is subject to criminal history check, reference and background checks, and verification of eligibility to work in the U.S.A. All employees must be high school graduates or equivalent or have prior camp experience.
