Required Training for All Student Employees
CWU has a zero-tolerance position on all forms of discrimination, harassment, and other inappropriate workplace behavior. In order to highlight the importance of this the University's stance is that all university employees partake in a mandatory trainings, which includes student employees, to complete the two courses (preventing sexual harassment and Preventing employment discrimination). Washington State law requires that the course be taken every three years.
Online courses: (3 separate courses covering employment discrimination, sexual harassment and Title IX) which altogether could take 90 minutes – two hours.

Classroom training: In-person class that takes approximately 1 hour and covers all three required course - Preventing Sexual Harassment and Employment Discrimination and Title IX.
