Instructions on the hiring process for student employees

|New Job Number||To request a new job description number for a brand new position.|
This is the form that generates an email to Student Employment so they can initiate a background check for your student.
If you are hiring students through PeopleAdmin then you will not need to submit the Intent to Hire.
This can be sent to email@example.com so Student Employment can initiate a background check if you are hiring 10 or more students at one time.
This spreadsheet needs to be sent in to get your student's job in the system.
For regular student employees email spreadsheet to firstname.lastname@example.org
For workstudy employees email spreadsheet to email@example.com
For students on a grant send to Heather Harrell firstname.lastname@example.org
Codes to help fill out the Upload Spreadsheet including; term codes, earn codes, etc.
A list of the acceptable documents to verify the I-9 form in HR Bouillon 140. They must be original and unexpired.
Waiver Form - each student needs to fill one of these out acknowledging that they waive their right to retirement as a student employee. Either fill it out and bring it when the I-9 is verified or HR will have you fill it out.

Positions which will store, process, transmit or have access to multiple credit card information of customers at one time must comply with the provisions of the "Visa and MasterCard Payment Card Industry Security Standards".
For students who are enrolled in spring quarter that want to work in the summer, but can't enroll yet for fall.
All parities must sign and approve the hours of work done by a minor. When filling out the form please use the 9 digit UBI Code 192-000-638. There is no expiration date for the minor work permit. Have the parents and a school counselor sign the form. When all completed keep the form in your department.
Electronic version that will calculate hours. Print and have students sign in ink each pay period.
