Background Check | CWU contracts with a company called HireRight to conduct background (BG) checks on all employees. Your supervisor should make you a Finalist online so that HR can initiate the BG check. You will receive an email in your CWU email account from customersupport@hireright.com with a secure user name and password from HireRight. When you receive the notification to complete the on-line authorization, please do so as soon as possible. (Personal data such as SSN and address will be required; this information is valid to the process and you may be assured that HireRight will keep your personal information secured.) NOTE: You may not start working until the background check has been cleared. | Employee and Employer |
I-9 Form | I-9 form is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. Once the I-9 has been initiated the student will need to bring required identification (must be original documents and not expired) to Human Resources for verification no later than the 3rd day of work. W-4 Form | W-4 Form it is used by your employer to withhold the proper amount of federal income tax from your paycheck. Automatically defaults to "Single, 0". W-2 Form | W-2 form is the form that an employer must send to an employee and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) at the end of the year. The W-2 form reports an employee's annual wages and the amount of taxes withheld from his or her paycheck. 1098-T Form | 1098-T Form or Tuition Statement, reports the amount of qualified education expenses paid by the student during the tax year. If you paid tuition for higher education, you should receive your 1098-T by mid-February. A Financial Aid form used for taxes. If you have any questions, please call (509) 963-3562. | Employee |

PERS Waiver Form | This is a required form for student employees that says you acknowledge that you do not qualify for retirement. It needs to be turned in/filled out in HR, Mitchell Hall First Floor. | Employee |
