  • I-9 page at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Downloadable I-9 Form and Employer Handbook for use only by CWU Center Supervisors.  All Ellensburg campus students (except international students) must complete the I-9 form at Student Employment office, Bouillon 140. International Students, please complete the I-9 form at the Office of International Studies and Programs at the International Center, Room 101.
  • Criminal Background Inquiry Effective Spring quarter 2012, criminal background checks are required for student employees.  All new student employees and current student employees who have not previously had a background check must authorize a background check.
    • All CWU background inquiries are conducted by HireRight, a third-party vendor.  Students must provide a valid email address to the Student Employment office along with the job title, hiring department, and supervisor; HireRight will contact the student via email to authorize the check.  Students, to facilitate this process, please check your SPAM settings to ensure that you will receive emails from customersupport@hireright.com. When you receive the notification to complete the on-line authorization, please do so as soon as possible. (Personal data such as SSN and address will be required; this information is valid to the process and you may be assured that HireRight will keep your personal information secured.)
    • As an alternative, students may come to the Student Employment office (Bouillon 140) to complete and sign a paper authorization form.
    • NOTE:  After authorizing the background check, students may begin working while the check is in progress.  However, the student employee and supervisor need to be aware that continuation of employment is contingent upon a review of the background check results.
  • CWU Payment Card Procedure Positions which will store, process, transmit or have access to multiple credit card information of customers at one time must comply with the provisions of the "Visa and MasterCard Payment Card Industry Security Standards".
