Essential Functions: 
Computer Lab Assistants will provide coverage for the computer labs during the hours of 8:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Friday, and 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Saturday: -Monitor lab use including enforcing the no eating or drinking at the computers rule, the noise level etc. -Perform routine lab duties such as keep the lab clean, clean the computers, write up request for service and place a working on computer sign out etc. -Assist students as needed for routine tasks such as explaining how to use 2007. (The lab tech does not provide detailed instruction). -Monitor lab supplies.
Necessary Skills: 
Must be punctual, dependable, work well with others and able to enforce computer lab rules. Knowledge of hardware and software installed on server such as Word. Ability to work with people. Possess verbal and written skills. Able to communicate clearly. Ability to problem solve.
Purpose of Position: 
Computer lab needs to be monitored from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the lab will not be available to users unless a lab tech is on duty.
