Summer Forest Resource Volunteer #2992
Volunteers will work on projects such as back-country new trail construction, trail maintenance, blasting, trail and bridge building, and campground maintenance. Emphasis will be placed on trail work in remote back-country areas. Work involves hiking up to 10 miles a day in mountainous terrain, back-country camping, tree and brush cutting, stump and root grubbing, construction and installation of recreational site facilities, and campsite cleanup. Both hand and power tools will be used. Volunteers need to be in good physical condition.
Volunteers benefit from not only actual job experience but they will work in some of the most beautiful and uninhabited areas in the northwest.
