Student Achievement Outreach

General Education

Every student who transfers into CWU without a direct transfer Associate of Arts degree (DTA) or a bachelor’s degree is required to complete CWU’s general education program.  If you transfer to CWU without your DTA but were close to completing it we highly recommend that you work with your community college to take your last required classes at CWU and transfer them back to the community college to complete your DTA.  Generally this will be fewer courses than completing our general education program.

If you do need to complete our general education program please watch the general education video at the bottom of this page.  You can also find information on CWU’s current general education program by going to the general education section of the current CWU online undergraduate catalog.   We also have general education worksheets that you can use to help track of what areas you have completed and which ones you still need to complete.
