Chairs of these teams spent a great deal of energy and time working with faculty, staff, and students. The results of that work can be found in the recommendations submitted to the Director of Strategic Planning--Dr. Melody Madlem.

Melody will meet with each of the teams that submitted recommendation to assure understanding of the recommendations provided. Additional meetings with the institution's Strategic Planning Core Team will follow.

Thanks to all who contributed to these reports. The process of strategic planning involves people. The people at CWU want to participate in the process of shaping their institution, and are so delightful to work with.
We Need YOUhttp://www.cwu.edu/strategic-planning/node/2558Thu, 25 Sep 2014 08:26:09
The Strategic Planning effort is on the move. Teams, blogs, and content... Now it's up to us to "fill in the blank."

A team of peers and colleagues has been developed to begin to flesh out strategies and initiatives specific to areas within all five core themes. These teams are looking for input. You can provide it in many ways, and just one way if through the Team Blogs. Under "Five Core Themes" on the strategic planning web page, you will find links to the blog of your choice. Just click wherever you see the "". That will take you to the team blog space.

Strategic Planning with Registrar Serviceshttp://www.cwu.edu/strategic-planning/node/2556Tue, 09 Sep 2014 14:14:16
On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, Registrar Services staff will participate in a program surrounding strategic planning. Melody Madlem, Director of Strategic Planning will work among Registrar Services Staff to facilitate understanding of the CWU Strategic Plan and how the Registrar Services Strategic Plan is aligned. Processes, outcomes, and time lines will also be discussed.

If someone were to ask you, "What really is the mission of CWU?" Could you answer? How does CWU plan to get there? Registrar Services Staff will know!
Summer Progresshttp://www.cwu.edu/strategic-planning/node/2548Wed, 20 Aug 2014 11:16:11
Summer Work-- Summer has been hot in Ellensburg! It has been hot in the Strategic Planning office (Barge 310M) as well.

As you can see, one of the biggest areas of progress this summer has been the "fleshing" out of the strategic planning web site. Unit plans and outcomes have been added. One thing you don't see (yet) is the development of blogs for each of the strategic teams to use in the development of strategies and initiatives. These will be unveiled in the fall, along with an entirely new strategic planning look.

Stay tuned as fall approaches! Enjoy the remainder of your summer break.
An Ending And a Beginninghttp://www.cwu.edu/strategic-planning/node/2502Tue, 27 May 2014 13:31:05
ELLENSBURG--As the academic quarter draws to a close, remember that strategic planning has no end. Small teams of our colleagues have met this quarter while others are just beginning to meet for the first time, and still other teams are only in the planning stages. I love this process. Strategic planning is not an event. It is a continual process of plan, act, assess... Plan, act, assess... Plan, act, assess. This cycle guides all of our movement toward attaining our mission and realizing our vision. Student success = plan, act, assess.

Have a great summer. The plan will be here. The process continues.
