Nominate a Mentor of the Year

The Mentor of the Year award is designed to acknowledge and reward those mentors whose activities and efforts provide examples of exceptional dedication to their student’s scholarship experience. The Mentor of the Year receives a monetary award from the United Faculty of Central (UFC), a commemorative plaque, and recognition at the SOURCE awards dinner.

Nomination letter

Please upload a letter of nomination for your mentor, addressed to the selection committee. Within the letter, please describe:

  • How long you have been working with your mentor, and on what project (or projects);
  • The nature of the mentoring relationship and how it has evolved over time;
  • Specific examples of how your mentor has supported your scholarly work and growth as a scholar within your field;
  • Any other specific description that will help the selection committee understand why your mentor is deserving of this award.

Please limit your letter to 500 words.
