Services and Activities Fee Committee

Minutes November 12, 2008

Julia Cain called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. and attendance was taken.
 

Jack Baker, Julia Cain, Megan Hammond, Kay Kenison, Kevin Kimball, Riley LaMie, Caitlin Morrison, Stephanie Oberlander, Scott Robinson, Brook Rutledge, Brent Weisel, and Wendy Williams. Excused: Ed Day
 

Riley LaMie moved to approve the minutes as presented. Stephanie Oberlander seconded. Motion carried. (All in favor)
 

Pedro Navarrete wanted to thank the S&A Committee for their hard work and wished them good luck and success in the start of the new funding cycle.
 

CWU Leadership Conference – Jesse Nelson: Joel Bialkowsky presented a request for $5,000 in supplemental funding for the CWU Student Leadership Conference proposed for March 6, 2009. The expected attendance is 100--free to students and includes the keynote speaker, lunch and several sessions –Leadership in your Profession; Leadership in the Community; and The Leadership Toolbox. This is a new proposal and was not included in the original CEL budget. The decision will be made next week at the S&A Meeting.
 

The next meeting is Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. No meeting is scheduled for November 26, 2008.
 

Reminders:

• The Theatre Arts Department is presenting "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" November 13-15 and November 20-22.
• Town Hall Meeting-Continuing the National Discussion on Race, Justice and Peace is tonight from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• The movie, "God Grew Tired of Us" starts at 6:00 p.m. followed by Sudanese Lost Boy – John Dau on Thursday, November 13.

Scott Robinson moved to adjourn, Brent Weisel seconded. Motion carried.
