Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington Scholarship

Description: 

The Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington’s Academic Relations Committee established the Undergraduate Scholarship in 1999 to assist promising students who have demonstrated an interest in construction industry employment.

Requirements: 
  • Applicant must be a full-time student (sophomore, junior or senior) majoring in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Safety, or other related field.
  • Applicant must have an interest in future employment in commercial construction, preferably mechanical contracting.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or documented permanent resident of the United States.
  • If scholarship is awarded, the recipient must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. (Scholarship recipient will be asked to submit semester/quarterly grades).
  • If scholarship is awarded, the recipient must remain enrolled in the Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Safety, or related program for the duration of the scholarship.
  • All portions of the application must be completed and postmarked (or emailed) by the stated deadline.
Application Process: 

The scholarship requires the following:

Undergraduate Scholarship Application completed and signed

  • Employer Reference Form
  • Faculty Advisor Reference Form
  • Copy of Transcript from current school (does not require official transcript)
  • One- to two-page essay (Arial font, 12 pt, 1” margins, 1.5 line spacing) as to why
  • you are interested in mechanical contracting.
Award Amount: 
$500 - $5000
