Gene & Charlotte Balint Scholarship
Education Scholarship
- Full time CWU student with at least 20 graded credits completed at CWU
- Fully admitted to the CWU Teacher Preparation program at the time of application
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
- Complete the General Scholarship Application through your Wildcat Connection account.
- Submit the following additional materials: (submit only one set of additional materials if you are applying for more than one Education scholarship):
- A one page essay expressing why you want to become a teacher
- Three letters of recommendation: Two from CWU faculty in two different academic disciplines and one from a previous college advisor qualified to evaluate your character and potential for becoming an excellent teacher
- Unofficial transcripts from any college or university you attended before CWU
Applicants selected as finalists will be required to conduct a 15-minuted teaching session with the Scholarship Selection Committee
Attach your additional materials electronically to your online scholarship application or submit to the Scholarship Office by March 1st
