The Running Start, College in the High School and Cornerstone programs allow high school sophomores*, juniors, and seniors an opportunity to earn college credit and fulfill high school graduation requirements at the same time. We have three programs: on-campus, in the high school, and online. Through these programs, students are able to benefit from the academic challenges of college course work and find that the experience helps to clarify their educational goals. The programs can also help ease with the transition from high school to college, and provide students with an opportunity to take on more academic responsibility. Classes taken through Central Washington University will transfer to any four-year public university in Washington State, as well as most in-state private universities and other universities across the country.
*Only applicable for those participating in the CWU Cornerstone model.
