The Central Washington University Retirement Association (CWURA) was founded in 1990 to facilitate the mission and goals of the University and provide for continuing professional, educational and social activities of University personnel, among a number of purposes as specified in the CWURA Constitution.

Annual Benefits Fair

Monday, November 6, 2017 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the CWU SURC Ballroom.  The CWURA Board especially want folks to know about a presentation just for retirees from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in SURC 202.  We encourage all CWU retirees to attend the fair and this presentation for current retirees from the Washington State Health Care Authority.

CWURA Sip and Draw with the CWU Art Department

We will be enjoying wine, learning drawing skills and touring the exhibits in the art building.  Thursday, November 16, 2017, 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Randall Hall.

Volunteers Needed

The Ellensburg AARP TAX-AIDE team is recruiting volunteer tax counselors to assist individuals in preparing income tax returns. Tax preparation is on Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting February 7 and ending April 12 at the Calvary Baptist Church Annex, 507 North Pine. Preparation is accomplished between 9AM and 3PM on these days.
Training starts in early January. The volunteer is not expected to work every day or all day when volunteering, but is expected to volunteer no less than part of 10 days during the tax season. This volunteer position requires dedication to learning tax law and preparation of accurate tax returns, and is rewarding in helping local people prepare their tax returns. Successful completion of several test are required for certification. All training materials are supplied and you will be supervised and mentored by experienced certified personal.
