(1) Academic policy will be established and monitored by the Academic Affairs Committee of the faculty senate.
(2) The academic affairs committee shall be concerned with the study and improvement of academic standards, academic policies and regulations, and academic organizational structures. The committee shall review and recommended changes to academic policy (section five of the CWU Policies manual, Academic Policies). It shall perform other duties as maybe requested by or approved by the Senate Executive Committee.
(3) The Academic Affairs Committee works closely with the provost/vice president for academic affairs or designee, with the provost's council, registrar, director of admissions, and academic support systems such as the library and media services and other individuals, groups, and committees as appropriate.
