6-10-010

Any university exempt employee may submit proposals to the Exempt Employee Association Governing Board to amend the code. In order to assure that this code is kept under study and updated, the human resources department and/or the governing of the exempt association shall review the code periodically.

Nothing shall limit the president/designee from adopting emergency additions, changes, and provisions affecting this code, so long as such changes are fairly  and uniformly applied. Emergencies shall be determined by the president/designee. Emergency actions taken by the president/designee shall be effective until the procedures outlined in Central Washington University Procedure CWUR 6-10-010 to amend the code have been completed.

The board of trustees delegates all employment matters, such as appointments, leaves, and other employment conditions and privileges contained in this code to the president or designee along with the authority to review, revise and change the exempt code.

The exempt employees' code of human resource policy of Central Washingotn University is a general policy statement issued pursuant to RCW 28B.35.120(12).

This code applies to all exempt employees as defined in CWUP 6-20-020 (Exempt Employees Defined).

All university policies are subject to federal laws and to the laws of the state of Washington the code does not limit the right to add emergency provisions or to revise this code, to approve other policy statements concerning the university that are equally binding, to contract for employment benefits permitted by law other than those specified in this code, or to delegate administrative authority to the president and appointing authorities.

All provisions of this code are subject to and may be superseded by Washington State legislative enactments.
