The end of spring quarter brings a lot of great things, but stress over finals isn’t one of them. What better way to let the stress out than by participating in or attending the Wildcat Dunk Contest Friday, May 30 on the SURC East Patio? This event is free for students, and check in begins at 6 p.m., and competitors will have until 6:30 p.m. to practice on the hoop of their choice, either eight feet or ten feet, depending on their division. The competition kicks off with preliminaries from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the finals from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Judges will determine the winners of each division, and the winners will receive a prize. 88.1 The ‘Burg will be on hand to play music and keep the atmosphere fun and upbeat.
Registration for the event begins Wednesday, May 28 and will continue until noon on May 30. All students are invited to compete and dunk their stress away, and can sign up in the Recreation Center.
This event is sponsored by Campus Activities and University Recreation. For more information please contact Joey Race at firstname.lastname@example.org or 509-963-1450.
