The NSCA is the National Strength and Conditioning Association and offers several certifications. University Recreation is currently offering a Strength and Conditioning course. The course comes with a programing book, an CSCS online course module and CPR and AED certification.
Next Class starts Monday April 15. Class will be an intensive 4 week course. This class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 pm to 5 pm with additional days and times in the gym to be scheduled.
The class has two parts. The first part is CSCS prep with an online course module. The online course module is designed to give you a comprehensive look at the material the is tested on the NSCA's CSCS exam. The second part of the course will cover advanced programing for athletes and athletic teams. The course will use the NSCA's guide to program design and we will use real data to create programs for athletes.
This course is for anyone looking to get into the fitness or performance field or just learn more about improving their own performance.
Course meets in Black Hall room 142.
