Masks, Information Available at CWU Student Union

Area wildfires continue to impact air quality, with the index registering in the unhealthy - very unhealthy range. Standard earloop masks and N95 masks are being made available at the Student Union information center to CWU students, faculty, staff and guests from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Information regarding recommended activity level based on the air quality index, as well as regular updates, will be provided by the CWU Student Medical and Counseling Center while the index is in the unsafe range (above 100).

Sensitive groups are especially cautioned to minimize outdoor exposure and activity levels. The state Department of Ecology's air monitoring site on Ruby Street is updated regularly, and provides a state wide map along with more detailed information.
