November may be known for turkey and football, but CWU is shaking it up and making this month all about Movember, the global men’s health charity which encourages men to grow (and women to support) the mustache (Mo) from Nov. 1 through 31. Join the CWU Wellness Center, Facial Hair Club and 88.1 the Burg as they use the power of the Mo to raise awareness and funds for men’s health to combat prostate and testicular cancer.
Movember is all about breaking down the stigma about men seeking health care and talking to professionals about their health, and the Mo’s classic style is a great way to draw attention to the cause. Men can become Mo Bros by starting with a clean shave and growing a Mo until the end of November. Women can become Mo Sistas by supporting the Mo growing men in their lives and encouraging others to join in.
To set up a donation page, participants need only go to movember.com. From there, funds raised will grow as quickly as the many Mos sure to be seen around campus.
Register and get more information at the Wellness Center in SURC 139.
Don’t miss the chance to bring awareness to a great cause all while looking dapper as can be!
