It didn’t take long for Meagan Grandall and Kendra Cox to become friends while working as kayak instructors in their native town of Poulsbo. And once the pair recognized their common love of music and decided to form the dream-pop group Lemolo, it didn’t take long for them to make a big splash in the Seattle music scene. Lemolo is set to perform at CWU Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in the SURC Theatre. Admission is free and open to the public.
Lemolo has consistently received high praises and was recently named one of the “Best New Seattle Bands” by Seattle Magazine, who says the duo’s songs are “sweetly simple, yet profoundly moving.” Lemolo’s smooth sounds have earned the band a dedicated allegiance of fans as well as a spot on stage at huge concerts like Bumbershoot and the Dave Matthews Band Caravan Festival.
