The Ellensburg music scene will come to life at CWU’s 88.1 The ‘Burg’s annual music festival Burgstock, Saturday, May 17 from 3:30 p.m. to midnight at the Elmira Event Center, located at 117 & 119 E 4th Ave in Ellensburg. From a battle of the bands and interviews with the band members to an a capella competition and free food, this event is sure to draw a crowd of fans of music of all genres. Because of the generosity of local sponsors, this event is free, but a donation of two cans of food for the FISH food bank is recommended.
Burgstock attracts a variety of people and allows attendees to experience different genres of music all in one event. The line-up for the battle of the bands includes Story Boxx from Snoqualmie, Mushroom Tea and Take Back from Yakima, The Lights and Autumn Electric from Seattle and Midnight Lights and Prey the Hunter from here in Ellensburg, with their genres ranging from classic and indie rock to reggae and post-grunge.
For more information please contact Travis Box, 88.1 The ‘Burg general manager, at 509-963-2282 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
