The Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series at Central Washington University welcomes award-winning writer Jesse Lee Kercheval Tuesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the SURC Ballroom. Admission is free, open to the public and the Wildcat Shop will be selling copies of his books at the event.
Kercheval is the author of twelve books of fiction, poetry and memoir. Her work has earned many awards including the Prairie Schooner Fiction Book Prize, Associated Writing Programs Award in Short Fiction and the Alex Award from the American Library Association. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from the Iowa Writers Workshop.
Kercheval’s work has also earned her fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Radcliffe Research and Study Center at Harvard, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Wisconsin Arts Board, the Corporation of Yaddo and the James A. Michener and Copernicus Society.
