The CWU Center for Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ) is seeking nominations for the 15th annual Women’s Achievement Celebration April 10 at 6 p.m. at Sue Lombard Dining Hall. Nominations are due Friday, March 8 and are available online at www.cwu.edu/diversity/WAC2013.
CDSJ is searching for individuals who have inspired, mentored or supported women in reaching for their dreams. Nominations will be accepted for three award categories: Women’s Achievement Award, Ally for Women Award and Student Empowerment Award.
The Women’s Achievement Award is given to female staff, faculty or community members. Nominees for this award must be women who have overcame adversity to achieve success, inspired other women with their story or demonstrate continued commitment to women’s issues.
The Ally for Women Award honors males who have supported women’s achievement and advancement by demonstrating an exceptional desire to encourage the personal and professional growth of women on campus.
The Student Empowerment Award recognizes female CWU students who have influenced the lives and inspired women on campus and in the community.
